The property itself was fantastic a lot of old school charm. We loved the aesthetic. Staff was super friendly! Hotel was great! Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the community of vagrants in the town square right outside the hotel.

Historic hotel, located on the Arcata plaza and within walking distance of several restaurants. The staff was great, parking very close and the hotel provides a parking pass. We didn’t partake of the breakfast but it’s there.

Everyone was extremely helpful, which was very much appreciated since I left my passport there and they mailed it to me (!) The rooms were small'ish -- it's not luxurious, but it was very nice for what we were looking for. Also very conveniently located.

Old school hotel, but nice staff and room was in nice condition for its age and how they maintained the decor for the period it was built. We would stay again!

The place is a period piece and totally charming. However, it was LOUD. Thin walls, street noise (it’s right on the Plaza which we loved by day but not by night), and beds uncomfortable.

Windows that actually open and a ceiling fan are hard to come by in hotels so I really appreciated the fresh sea air and fan here. Plus a comfy bed and pillows and hot shower made for a great stay.

Nice historic building in the center of town. Very nicely maintained and the staff are quiet but friendly enough. The back of the hotel can get noisy with nightly alley mini parties. Our bed was basically U-shaped and we struggled to not roll into the middle of the bed. That was our only complaint. Parking is excellent and there’s a very good sushi restaurant in the lobby. There’s also a good number of places to eat around the plaza and in the surrounding neighborhoods.

The staff was awesome and the area walkable the bed was comfortable. It was an older hotel in a historic building. The history was cool, but I did knock them as they didn’t have their own parking. You got a pass to hang from your mirror, then find a place to park in the neighborhood. I thought this was iffy, but I had no problems. It’s an older hotel building. The room had a physical key rather than a magnetic lock, which I thought was quaint.
