We love the Eureka Inn, but the woman at the desk (a short/wide woman with straight brown hair with a bad attitude) was purposely mean to us:
When we first arrived, we pulled our car up to the front door with steep steps, and when I told her I had luggage and a handicapped person on a walker, and asked if there was another way in, she told me ‘most people just come in the front door’, which was a blatant lie. There’s an accessible ramp in the back of the building that would have prevented forcing an elderly woman.with CP to have to climb (with my assistance) that steep front stairwell. As well as me, at 71 years old, to carry the heavy luggage up the steps as well. We’re polite and considerate people; this was inexplicable.
Of course, I discovered the back entrance later, so we used it on our second checkin a week later, and all other staff were very friendly and helpful.
