The room looked trashed like a party had been there the night before. The 2 lampshades were stained and broken, upholstered chair was stained, the bathroom sink was badly cracked. The bathroom also had poor lighting, maybe some bulbs missing?? Plus side: the beds were comfortable and there were enough outlets for charging electronics Cindy S.

We had a 2 night stay. Overall the property and location was ok. The path along the Eel River was just across the street and wonderful to walk .. head to the left for dairy farms and beautiful scenery. There are good 2 restaurants and a gas station within walking distance. Breakfast was as expected. The location was close to Ferndale, which was our main reason for our visit. We did have some issues with our room, however. The first thing we noticed upon entry was an awful odor which we determined was coming from the a/c unit. Thankfully we were able to leave the window open the entire time of our stay to combat that. The windows look as if they haven't been washed in years. Most of the outlets in the room didn't work and the ones on the bedside lamp were so wobbly that our phones weren't able to charge. The hair dryer was screwed to the wall in the bathroom and that outlet didn't work as well. We provided the front desk with a maintenance upon departure so hopefully they fix those and other items before they hand the keys to that room to anyone else. We won't stay here again, but it was fine for our short getaway.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before and it looks way worse than it did when I was here two years ago. The pool wasn’t working and the hallways and hotel room could use paint. It is so rundown compared to when I was here before.
