This unique hotel sits on top of a hill and has awesome views all around. We loved staying in this old castle and the staff and amenities are great ! We felt like royalty and really enjoyed our stay and the breakfast.

Breakfast was great - a good selection! We didn't have dinner. Our room was wonderful - just what you might expect in a castle with a great view despite the fact that it was raining a lot! It was lovely and memorable and we truly enjoyed our stay and visit. The property's location is amazingly breathtaking, the staff attentive and professional and the food was wonderful. The breakfast buffet provided a variety of delicious bites for a diverse palate. Strolling or driving around the town was fun with something amazing to discover at every corner. Although the heating system didn't work too well and the windows weren't able to close efficiently, it was expected and managed by drawing the curtains closed. The room had some dust and cobwebs along corners, window sills etc., but it's a historical place, so again, expected. The bed was very comfortable and there was ample space for storage. We wished we stayed a few more days because it was worth the experience. The views from the room were magnificent. A bottle of wine was provided and that made for a sweet souvenir. Thank you Pousada Castelo de Estremoz for an unforgettable accommodation.

Location was great and castle was neat to stay in. Make sure you book a 2nd floor room as they have individual air conditioning. 1st floor does not. We asked to move rooms from 1st floor to 2nd floor as the first room was hot. They were able to accommodate us. Breakfast was also very nice. Easy parking at hotel. Easy walking into city with lots of restaurants there. I would stay at this hotel again.
