We really enjoyed our stay. Love the charm of Murphy's and love the size of the room. The kitchen was very well appointed. The bed was VERY comfortable. The room and bath were perfectly clean. Everyone I talked to in the office was so helpful and so nice. The location is excellent! I walked to the main street in about 12-13 minutes. The bathrooms could use a bit of updating. Also I would suggest thicker rugs to help with muffling the sound. We were in a 1rst floor room and could very clearly hear the people above us walking around. I think thicker rugs might help. I would definitely stay there again if we head to Estes. Really loved having the creek outside. Thank you!

From feeling uneasy to feeling safe

Just not prepared when we arrived. It didn’t look anything like the online pics. I don’t like outside entries into each room. I was scared of someone breaking in. Just felt very uneasy with the look of the small office and outdated stuff like dvds available. I’m used to big chain hotels. Young men were sitting on old wooden chairs with a bonfire going later. Didn’t know if they were gonna get rowdy later! But everything was good and I would probably stay there again. Staff was soooo nice! Now that I know what to expect I thought it was very quaint and I wouldn’t change a thing about the place but since our room was on river side I would spend time out there! Did feel safe and secure when it was bedtime. Very clean

Well it was pretty cool to have a herd of Elk greet us right outside of the hotel on day two of our visit! Locals told us that it wasn’t unusual to see Elk near the property.

We saw elks right on the property which was really cool, super welcoming front desk with popcorn and old school movies, the river in the back is cool too. We got breakfast elsewhere however

Anniversary getaway

Stay was in great location, walking distance to town. Scenary of mountain, low clouds and elk grazing nearby was serene. Room was clean, welcoming touches. Beds were comfortable and room was quiet.
