"We had an amazing stay at Villa Belvedere. Although the check in process didn’t go as smooth as we’d like, the rest of the stay was perfect. We originally coordinated with the property manager to meet us at the ferry dock but he did not show up or answer our calls which was very concerning. We eventually got in touch with him after picking up our Jeep rental and driving to the grocery store. Since it was about 3pm at this point the owner did remind us that check in was at 4pm so technically we still got in early. It was just the lack of communication that really made us worry. There was a time period where I was worried we had no place to stay so you can imagine the unnecessary elevated stress we had to start our trip. Unfortunately some of the pictures on VRBO appear to be outdated (pre hurricane) so that added to some of the initial confusion. I need to read the description again because I was also surprised to see the kitchenette being outdoors. That didn’t stop us from making fantastic pasta but again, just not up to expectations. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. I’d definitely stay there again knowing what I know now."

"The villa itself is wonderful, although it is situated in a development that started off with great expectations that then collapsed for a number of reasons. The disastrous twin hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017 didn't help matters any... When you arrive, assuming that you use taxi transportation as we did, simply tell the driver 'Pond Bay' and don't try to give directions - just climb on and enjoy the ride. They all know where it is...when you get there, just call the owner who will guide you in to the correct unit. While Chocolate Hole (the bay) doesn't have the panache of the areas on the north shore, it is a great spot for snorkeling and paddle boarding in fairly protected waters before moving on to the more celebrated venues."

"Our family of 5 came for spring break and had an amazing time!! The house was great and was absolutely as advertised. Close enough to town to be easily accessed but just far enough away to be quiet in the evenings. Would absolutely recommend."
