Francis was waiting for us when we arrived. When he noticed my partner had disabilities he moved us to a room on a lower floor, which was very helpful, as I hadn't booked as disabled. The cleaner was also very nice and helpful.
The room was clean and tidy. The shower worked well with very warm water. It was also handy to have a fridge in the room.
Easy access to the building with a key fob.
We would definitely stay again.
The hotel has been created in recent years from a Care Home. The access is almost on top of a traffic signalled junction which slightly confused my satnav. The decor and furnishings are excellent. Unfortunately the hotel cannot currently provide breakfasts - they have apparantly been waiting a year for the Local Authority to determine their Licence application to serve food. I saw another guest take delivery at the front door of some pizzas in the evening.
There is plenty of free parking on site.
I found my room to be quiet and comfortable whilst the en-suite bathroom was a little on the small side.
This was a pleasant and convenient place to spend the night and I would be happy to stay there again.
Quaint and gorgeous building and rooms! Only thing I'd suggest is that the owners put lamps in rooms to augment the LED lighting (for travelers like me whose eyes don't do so well with the LED frequencies). Other than that, the hotel was lovely, as were the staff!
