While comfortable, overall the place has a very institutional feel and is a little worn. Bath enamel peeling and mould in bathroom. Staff friendly and helpful. Good for a night and handy for the pi next door.

Adequate for purpose- a bed for the night. Evening reception staff was so quietly spoken it was difficult to understand her. Had to ask her to repeat information twice more clearly and loudly. The flooring in the bathroom was very ‘spongy’ indicating there may be deteriation of structure underneath the floor. There were some areas in the bedroom which were dusty/dirty, including teaspoons which obviously hadn’t been washed. A shower would have been preferable to a bath. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom, and when given a new roll at reception it was impossible to install it into the paper holder in the bathroom.

Clean room. Nice and quiet. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. The property is an ex-Premier Inn by looks of it. A little dated and the repair work in room 12 on the bathroom tiles are a bit messy/shabby. But overall a comfortable and pleasant stay. Would recommend and stay again.

the only positives were the staff were always polite, if not effective, and it was quiet. These aside the facilities were not only awful, cramped, tired and bathroom not clean, but the kettle provided was unsafe. This was certainly not the standard of room I thought I had booked on the website

Exactly what you would expect from a budget hotel. Comfortable enough, not dirty but not immaculate, not uncomfortable but not luxury. If you’re looking for a place to get your head down for a couple of nights, it’s fine. Don’t bring your wife here for a special occasion. The pub next door is decent, with reasonably priced food and drink.

Never stay here, the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. Dreadful condition, floors and carpets filthy, bathtub scratched and with black ingrained dirt, towels thin and old, as a single female didn’t feel safe, tv only had sound and breakfast went straight in the bin it was so disgusting. The place needs gutting, new furniture and beds, more of a doss house with 3 beds in my room alone! Car ark strewn with rubbish. Absolutely not worth the money. The only positive note was the receptionist who was lovely.
