This place was amazing! The perfect location very private and safe and close to everything. The outside pool patio was a huge plus especially traveling with Tallulah our 3 yr old pitbull. Jason was a great host and made me feel extremely comfortable through the whole booking process and stay. I would definitely book this again, hopefully sooner than later!

This property is all about the outdoor options. great seating, pool, loungers etc. our 15 year old labrador was very comfortable as well. walking distance to food spots makes things easy, and only 10 minutes from moonlight state beach.

The Grotto was such a delightful place to stay! It was very quiet and we woke up each day to the sound of birds chirping. Jason was a fantastic host -- he was very responsive and gave clear, concise instructions. The property was easy to find and well-located. I started most days with a run along the path 2 blocks away and finished with a dip in the pool. The Grotto was also the perfect place to vacation with our dog!

Perfect Getaway

My partner and I stayed for two nights with our two dogs. We were able to enjoy the whole property and loved that the pool was completely private. This place is fantastic! It’s in a safe neighborhood, close to the beach, pet friendly, very comfortable, fairly priced, and exceptionally clean. What more could you want? Perfect beach getaway with our Labrador retriever. The Grotto had everything we needed and Jason the host was very welcoming and responsive. It was close to all kinds of restaurants and within a short drive of dog beach in Del Mar. The weather was exactly what we were looking for, an escape from the Arizona heat. My wife and I frequently vacation to San Diego. This is by far the best experience we’ve had renting out a place. Everything was very clean. The hosts also made sure to think about nearly everything someone would need including towels, beach equipment, floaties for the pool, aloe Vera, mosquito repellent. The small details is what makes this the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re living in a home away from home. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Great relaxing vibes with awesome amenities. Pool, bed and bathroom were elite!

The Leucadia Beach Grotto was a great find in this quaint seaside town. The private enclosed yard was perfect for relaxing by the pool and very dog friendly! I appreciated our host, Jason, welcomed our little pup with a bowl of water and dog biscuit. The place was super clean and the Keurig coffee machine with pods was an added bonus. The secure off street parking was also nice in an area where parking can be limited. Jason was super responsive to messages and informative about the area. I’ll definitely be back when in the area again.

Clean, Convenient Location

We had an good experience staying at this property. The property was very clean, exactly as described, and met our expectations. The neighborhood is walkable and is a quick drive to restaurants and shops. Jason provided a water bowl and a cushion for our dog, which was very thoughtful, and there is a small turf area for dog potty breaks. The owner was incredibly responsive and provided clear instructions for self-check-in and checkout, which made the process stress-free. I recommend this place to anyone traveling with pets or looking for a clean and convenient vacation rental!
