Some disappointment

Disappointed with lack of fridge & microwave. Very sad breakfast offerings as well. Didn't come to gamble but very surprised that casino opens on the late side (11 a.m.) compared to other places we've gone.

The prices of the hotel stay was very reasonable. Room was clean & comfortable. Staff very courteous. Unfortunately altho the bar & grill downstairs was closed. So were all the same upstairs. Casino closes at midnight. After spending the days at Clay County Fair it would have been nice to have those amenities open to relax in.

We checked in and went to our room. The toilet wouldn't stop running. The gal at the front desk said that she could put us in a different room. I told her that wasn't necessary. Just send someone up to fix it. Oh, there's no one on staff to do that today. She gave us another room. It was a smoking room. It smelled like a dirty ashtray. We stayed anyway. I will say, the beds and pillows were comfortable.

Overall it was a good experience. Our big issue was there being no refrigerator or microwave in the room. Bar and grill in building had friendly staff and good food. Bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast was a big fail.

Smoky smell is a turn off

Room was beautiful and comfortable... lobby reeked of smoke from the casino. I requested a room far away from casino after reading many posts regarding that, so we didn't have issue in our room
