Unwind in your secluded hot tub on the private patio, relax in a plush king bed, and enjoy being just a half-mile from the beach. Includes a full kitchenette, beach gear, and bikes. A perfect getaway to reconnect and recharge away from the crowds.

Your private haven begins on the covered front patio, an oasis of relaxation featuring a secluded hot tub, a serene patio swing for dreamy evenings, and cozy loungers for unwinding together. Ascend the stairs to your suite, where an ambiance of tranquility and luxury awaits. The space is designed for two and includes:



A cozy, plush king-sized bed.

A lavishly designed bathroom with a double vanity.

A thoughtfully appointed full kitchenette for your convenience.



To make your arrival special, you will find:

Plush, comfortable linens.

A basket of complimentary toiletries.

A meticulously stocked coffee bar.

Homemade sweets and an assortment of complimentary snacks, waters, and sodas.

Guests will have exclusive and private access to the entire guest suite and its attached covered patio, which includes the hot tub.

A shared golf cart is available for guest use. It can be reserved for one 4-hour slot per day (8am-Noon, Noon-4pm, or 4pm-8pm) to make getting to the beach a breeze.

We respect your privacy and want you to enjoy your romantic getaway without interruption. We live nearby and are available via the app or by phone should you need anything at all, from local recommendations to assistance with the suite. We will not be present in your space during your stay.

Please be aware that access to the suite requires climbing two flights of stairs.

Fantastic beach escape for our one year wedding anniversary. We booked last minute and yet were so pleased upon our arrival and easy check-in to this adorable, cozy and romantic getaway. Relaxing Getaway!

Beautifully maintained property with a great beach vibe. Romantic suite set-up with all the details being well thought out. Our hosts Carolyn and Jonathan were on point with everything and we could not have asked for a better stay or hosts. Location is great with only a quick 3 min golf cart ride to the beach. Also close to many amenities and restaurants. Flip Flop Suites did not disappoint!

Amazing Stay!

This was the second time my husband and I stayed here. We loved everything about it! The location is perfect and the golf cart makes going to the beach that much easier. The suite was very clean and decorated super cute. Even better than the listing pictures! Jonathan and Carolyn really have thought of everything you might need during your stay from beach towels to a spare toothbrush. The suite is super private too with its own entrance and designated parking area. The bed was very comfy too! We loved our stay here and hope to return soon!

Our stay was relaxing and amazing! The place is so special and everything you could possibly need is provided. The golf cart trips to the very close beach were our favorite way to spend the day with chairs, a cooler, towels, a canopy, and sunscreen provided. The hosts are extra special. As close to perfect as I’ve ever stayed at

My husband and I stayed for a weekend and we loved it. The hosts have done an amazing job of setting up your own little couples paradise. From little cookies and chocolates and wine waiting for us, to the music softly playing when we walked in, to the plush robes and the bed that felt like a cloud, it was romantic and relaxing. You could see how much thought went in to making it a nice stay. We would love to go back again.

Sweet escape!

Our first stay here was perfect. Super easy checkin and instructions and recommendations for all the ins and outs. Room was super cozy, private, and comfortable. Hosts were readily available for any questions or help. Very short walk to the beach, and having the golf cart was a bonus. For December the weather was perfect for beaching all day, We ended up running back to the suite to put on summer clothes! Nice little restaurants only a short walk from here also.Wakeup, beach, dinner, hot tub, rinse and repeat. Suite also had so much beachy decor with the sound of waves when you come in for the first time, look forward to going back!

Extremely Nice Room

We stayed in Suite Escape. The room is beautifully decorated. Very clean and loved all the special touches by the Owners. Only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was we could not lock our room door. We had to leave early so didn't get to meet the Owners, but they were wonderful and very accommodating to all our needs. Thanks Carolyn and Jonathan!! special touch

Carolyn and Johnathon are amazing hosts!!

My husband and I decided we wanted to go to Emerald Isle for a last minute getaway before the start of school began. We ran across this sweet, cute place on VRBO. From questions before booking, while there and then before we left the hosts ensured we had anything and everything needed to make our stay perfect. The room was very clean and stocked with drinks, snacks and even 4 freshly baked chocolate chip cookies upon arrival. The hosts do have a golf cart that is shared by all the guests, you just have to sign up for your time. We rented our own so we did not have to have theirs back at certain times but did use it the last day before leaving. With a golf cart it made it a perfect location to get to the beach. I would highly recommend staying with Carolyn and John if you and your spouse are looking for somewhere to go to get away together and relax because they will make sure that you will enjoy every moment and have your room ready for you to relax! We love the Emerald Isle area and would definitely stay at this location again if it was only my husband and I again, which we are already planning our next trip!!

Very nice!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and stocked. We had plenty of towels, coffee, creamers, snacks, etc. Youname it, they had it there for you. I could’ve packed a lot lighter if I’d have realized what all they had an available. I’ve never stayed anywhere that provided all the goods. It was a very nice place for a couple to stay.

Cute beach place

Very clean and nice place, they definitely put a lot of detail and it was appreciated. They had a golf cart that could be used but if you didn’t have a golf cart you had to walk because there was no parking otherwise. It was about 0.6 miles to the beach, fine for us but FYI. We thought they were very nice but constant messages weren’t needed. We turned our messages off to relax and saw their message after to dispose of our trash and put towels in a specific area. We thought this was strange as we’re paying a cleaning fee for them to clean after we left. We left it very clean and towels were together anyways.

Honeymoon of our dreams

The suite was lovely, and so are Jonathan and Carolyn! We spent 8 nights here on our honeymoon and loved it. The location is quiet and easily accessible, an easy walk to the beach, and the suite was larger than we expected from the pictures. The amenities like the bikes were a huge plus as well! Jonathan and Carolyn were super kind overall and very responsive to questions, and were above and beyond helpful when we were in a pinch with our rental car. Cannot recommend this place and these hosts enough, we would choose this for our honeymoon every time!

I wish I could give this property and its incredible owners more than 5 stars! We had the most relaxing stay and didn’t want to leave! The owners truly thought of everything you could have wanted or needed to feel at home in their home and were very available via the app or cell phone for any questions or needs. Amazing stay

The room was beautiful, comfy, inviting and completely the best quality we have seen at Emerald Isle. Jonathan and Carolyn have created the most luxurious oasis. AWESOME!

We had big expectations after reading all of the great reviews from previous guests and somehow Carolyn still managed to exceed them. As soon as we opened the door to the Flip Flop Suite we were blown away. The attention to every little detail was incredible Everything was picture perfect, clean and decor was amazing. Quiet and very much relaxing. We had delicious cookies awaiting us and departing lemon pound cake!! We can't thank the hosts enough for their beautiful home and hospitality that they have put a lot of thought and love into!

Walked into our room and it was like a spa. Soft music of waves. Pretty decor encouraging relaxation. Two possible negatives: deck chair lounges were pretty but not comfy for long stay sitting and inside stairs after stairs to deck were alot...but then again, great exercise! Hosts were very nice and room had everything you could think of including home made baked goods twice during our week's stay. Close to everything we needed, walking trail, grocery, restaurants, gas and beaches. We liked the Western access beach with outside showers and restrooms and a plus of lifeguards. Host also offered beach chairs, beach bag, towels, use of bikes, golf cart and kayak. We had an amazing week!
