A very quaint and cozy house. Beautiful view of Lake Leonard. Very close to Ellsworth. The owner's had a detailed sheet of places to go and eat. Momo's cheesecake was delicious. Union River Lobster Pot was spot on for lobster. We also enjoyed Helen's. We would definitely stay again.

The house was cozy and inviting. We loved the view out back! The path is well lit to walk to the pier. The harvest moon occurred during our stay and it was an amazing view off the pier. The house had everything we needed and is the perfect location for day trips around the area. A basket of brochures and travel books helped tremendously while we planned our day trips. We had a wonderful stay at the Leonard Lake House. It is really beautiful, comfortable and clean. The view of the lake is superb and we loved hearing the loons. The house is in a great location to visit any part of Mt Desert island. The hosts are very kind and considerate. We hope to come back another time.

Gateway to Acadia

Quiet clean comfortable home in Ellsworth, a quaint town a short trip to Mount desert Island and Acadia national Park. The town is worth the trip and the lake is quiet and peaceful. If Acadia is your goal this is easy access to the island. The property is as described clean and easy to access. The host responsive and accommodating.
