We had a great trip to the Coosawattee cabin! We stayed over the Fourth of July weekend, and the community hosted a small holiday gathering, which was a nice surprise. The Coosawattee community itself is beautiful, peaceful, and well maintained. The friendly deer are a nice surprise as well! The drive from the entrance gate to the cabin is quite a bit longer than we expected, but it wasn’t a problem for a short stay. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the limited number of towels and washcloths. The cabin sleeps six people, but there were only six towels and six washcloths total, essentially one set per person for the entire stay. Since most people shower daily, we found ourselves needing to wash washcloths every day. While there is a washer and dryer in the cabin, it was a little inconvenient to have to do laundry just to have clean washcloths each night.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again. Just be sure to bring extra washcloths and towels if you’re planning a multi-night stay, or expect to do a load of laundry during your visit.
