El Adobe - Classic Taos Charm

This 2 bed 2 bath traditional true adobe sits on 1.5 acres facing Taos Mountain. The home has been remodeled by the home owners themselves. The court yard feels like a lush little oasis. The kitchen has been completely remodeled with custom cabinets and very well equipped. The living room has comfortable leather sofas with plenty of room to spread out. Flat screen internet TV and a hot tub out the dining room door.

The home is heated by two "wood" gas burning stoves, radiant floor heat in the new remodeled bathroom and wall heaters in the master bath and bedroom.
The beds are both queens and the bathrooms both have walk in showers, there is no bathtub. As you can see from the pictures, one of the bathrooms has been completely remodeled. The washer and dryer are new.
The bedroom situation is, master has it's own bathroom, you do have to walk thru the the second bedroom to get to it. However, there is a door to the outside portal from the master bedroom that you may use to get into the front door if you wish to give the second bedroom privacy.
Make yourself comfortable in this vacation home, which features a fireplace and a Smart TV. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.

Beautiful home with great amenities. The house has so much history and character. It’s cozy snd located to so many places like Taos Ski Valley, Arroyo Seco and El Prado!! The hot tub and many windows made it hard to leave!! We have been coming to Taos for over 40 years! This is hands down our favorite thus far!! Also, the house was so clean and well stocked with everything we needed! Hopefully, we can stay here again soon.

Pros:Location. Great place for those who want to experience Taos, Arroyo Seco, and even Red River for a day trip while having a secluded stay. Super safe and quiet. The house is beautiful and beautifully decorated. Very peaceful. Also very clean.The hot tub was great in the beautiful garden.Cons:Did I miss in the listing that there is no air conditioning in the house? That may not bother some, but the house was warm for our July stay and not comfortable. The ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms does not work without the light being on.The beds (we tried both) were not very comfortable, and there is no way the one in the guest room is a queen. The entrance to the house requires a physical key - not ideal for keeping up with and we locked ourselves out. A key pad would be much more practical for a rental like this?The coffee pot is a piece of junk. The front bathroom could use some shades for the windows? We didn't feel like we could have the lights on for evening showers with the window that faces the road.I think with a few upgrades, we would totally stay here again. But for the price, I would look elsewhere for a more comfortable experience at night.
