First they wouldn’t let my wife check in because it’s my account and my name is listed. I added her name but they said they never got that message. She ended up just cancelling reservation and booking again and paying higher rate right then. I was out of cell phone range in the dunes. Room they gave us was not locked and couldn’t be locked unless inside room. It was right on street and very unsafe. Told us that they could give us this room only because other rooms not ready. It was after 4 pm and there didn’t seem to be many at the hotel so not sure. They did say that it was terrible room that no one wanted?

The lobby looks remodeled, but the room is outdated, and I wasn't sure how clean the carpet was. We heard water pipes running behind the wall most of the night. We also couldn't sleep because of the sound of footsteps from the floor above. The staff is friendly, though. If you are a light sleeper, I’d suggest avoiding this place.
