This hotel is a true gem, it sits on a small hill right above the main stretch of Calafate, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants, and also a very easy walk to the bus station. The lobby and rooms smelled great, the signature scent was great. Staff are also so kind and welcoming, happy to help on any question. The room had everything we needed and a cute view of the town.

The Montano was a very nice boutique hotel with lots of little personal touches that made our stay perfect, from the handwritten note welcoming us to the nightly glasses of wine in the”living room”. Breakfast was amazing, all of the fruits were fresh and the bread, eggs and coffee and juices were of very good quality. The location was a quick walk to the city center close to shopping and restaurants. Absolutely would stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting El Calafate.

Great location and very modern and clean amenities. However, unless you don’t mind not having a view ensure you have a window facing the mountain. Their smaller rooms face a small courtyard without privacy. The rooms are compact for the price and it can be very noisy in the mornings.
