Edinburgh stay

Wrong choice as too big and too many coach parties. Missed not having kettle in the room. Caters for groups rather than couples. Folding beds good and showers excellent. We thought breakfast was expensive. We will not return.

Disappointed that there were no tea/coffee facilities in our room. Poor lighting in the room. Badly designed room, nowhere to put your 'stuff'! Ok for just 1 night, wouldn't like to stay for anymore nights in that type of room. Breakfast was just standard, I've had much better at cheaper hotels. £328 for a Saturday night, is a lot of money in my world.

The location was convenient, close to the Railroad station, shopping, dining and pubs. The room was small and very tight. The bathroom is not an en suite but with the sink in the room with a door for the toilet and a door for the shower. There is very little privacy so if you are sharing the room you better like the other person. The bed was comfortable with nice linen and the room was very clean.

This a central hotel to Edinburgh although a short walk to buses and trams! Hotel rooms fairly basic but clean and comfortable- bed quite hard! Easy check in and check out.

The room was spotless, simple and perfect for our one night stay. Lovely convenience shop along with restaurant in the lobby, which we didn't try, but so nice it was there. Good experience.

Cheap, convenient, but low on amenities

The room was fine to sleep in. There's no real "bathroom" only a closet with a toilet and another closet with a shower. It means the room can be smaller. There's no ventilation for the toilet closet. That could be embarassing if you had 2 people in the room. The bar area was not staffed at convenient times. I had laundry service, and it was ridiculously over priced. The cost to launder a few shirts was more than the price of buying the shirts.

Overall the place is great. Parking is an issue, and whilst they gave us a "discounted" parking area which is a 10 min walk away, the discount never worked. Location is pretty good, place is clean and the room serves it purpose.

There were few staff. The ones that were there, were very nice. Check-in and out was by tablet. Not very welcoming. Small room and automatic lighting that took on a life of its own. Not a four-star hotel.

Nice base for business trip

Clean room with a decent bed (i had the king not the queen bed tho) - the shower and toilet were clean but had peeling paint on the ceiling. The water pressure was also poor. The bar was nice and the location is pretty good.

It was uncomfortable pillows and they could not exchange them. It looked cheap and no proper bathrooms, just a glass door and a toilet. Orherwise okay. Good location.
