The location of The Balmoral Hotel is excellent. We used the valet service for parking and this worked very well for our short stay. Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Housekeeping deserves a special mention as the room was spotless with a daily service and then a turn down service in the evening. We will definitely be returning to this amazing hotel.

The front door men did not open the door for me when I arrived from the airport with my luggage. They watched me and stared as if an alien arrived. That tainted everything from that point on. Subsequent attempts to be “nice” were futile. The hotel bills itself as luxury high end and charges accordingly. At such price points, guests expect great treatment.

Everything was excellent except the excess charges. Premium for a room, but an additional room service charge. In room dining charged 5 for the tray food delivered on. I'm surprised we weren't charged to walk on the floors or use the lift.
