Historic hotel with very modern rooms perfectly located on Princes Street. It was across the street from the train station and close to a stop for the airport bus. We were able to walk to the Castle, Hollywood Palace and many other attractions from the hotel. The staff were very helpful.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, Edwina was so caring, making sure we got the most suitable room. Room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. We loved our stay here. No issues at all. They have a fine selection of local whiskey and spirits. The room was nice, and as an American, I would recommend spending the extra money to get an upgraded room. They are larger, have a king bed, and offer space to store extra belongings. Our friends stayed in the basic rooms, and they were just too small. There is a nice little grocery store next door and a coffee shop close by with some great food. The location is perfect—within walking distance of everything you’d want to see in Edinburgh. We would definitely stay here again.
