Very Good

The biggest issue we had was locating the property. GPS showed we were by the hotel but the street number could not be found. After walking some more, a local gave us more specific directions. We finally found it hidden behind scaffolding, which we never suspected to find it.The property was clean, the staff pleasant and a typical continental breakfast.
This hotel has an excellent location close to pubs, buses, the tram, and the train station. The larger rooms are a decent size the small rooms are very small with no windows.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
With the small size of the room and no way to open the window AC is paramount. Our did not work.
Staff were great at trying to help. Even after the reset it did not work. With the fan given was barely enough to sleep.
Just make sure AC works prior to settling in.
I would 100% recommend this hotel. The room was small but enough to have a good rest, and the location was very convenient.

Disliked: Amenities
Our room was a handicapped room, my fault. There wasn’t even a glass for water. The hotel was cocooned in steel and being worked on. What they didn’t tell me was it would go on late into the night. The stag was great and the typical European breakfast was fine. Location was fantastic, which I’m sure they know.
Great inn, didn’t have a gym and very basic breakfast but makes sense for an inn. In addition such a great location walkable to everything and so many tourist sites near by, lots of GREAT restaurants near by and walkable to those areas too. Amazing location. Clean rooms, helpful staff
Staff was friendly but quite slow with service - it took a long time to check in (it didn’t seem they had a desk attendant at all times available) and again to retrieve my bags when I had left them in their storage room to walk around the city.
Facilities overall were fine, a little older but clean in general. Nice that they had free coffee and tea easily accessible.
It’s in a great part of the city so location was very convenient to walk 15-20 minutes to major attractions. Biggest complaint was the noise going on from construction!! Right outside of my window were people working on scaffolds so I was abruptly woken up every morning to the sounds and vibrations of drilling… weird I wasn’t warned at all about this or given a different room because it was VERY disruptive.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Very basic room. Had a toilet that wouldn't stop dripping. Reported it but not fixed whiile we were there. Great staff..friendly and accessible. Good location in Edinburgh for Fringe in August.
Safe, clean hotel, right in the center of the city! The location is unbeatable for the price. The only issue we encountered was that the shower was set up such that water would get all over the bathroom floor each time someone used it. Overall, we had a good stay and would return.
