Worst Experience of any VRBO rental so far
The property was dirty, and unprepared to receive guests when we arrived. We contacted both VRBO and the property management company immediately. VRBO was not much help. The PM company did not know at first that we were supposed to arrive that day even after asking two days prior for the check-in instructions. They sent a cleaning lady and she did a very limited and superficial cleaning. She put new sheets and bedding covers and put the dirty ones in the same cabinet where she got the clean ones from. She claimed that she sanitized the bathroom with an unlabeled bottle cleaner. She vacuumed the small rug in the living room area but other than that no other floor surface was cleaned. Furniture & sofa pillows were set but no cleaning of any of that was done. She left. Keep in mind, I am in the apartment while this is taking place and we are observing all of this. We were so tired after 2.5 weeks of travelling around Great Britain that we just took it in strides and decided to spent the two nights we were planning. We washed/cleaned everything we touched dishes, dining table, etc. ON top of all that, when we went to bed, we found out that the mattresses were like 10 years old at least. We could feel every wire in the frame, my head was about 3 or 4 inches higher in elevation from my feet. It was the worst experience ever. I would not recommend this place to any one looking for a decent stay in Edinburgh. There were other issues but I think this is enough for now.
