Excellent location for sites, shops and eateries. My room was noisy as a fan above went all night. Plus too many little lights in the room stay on at night. The room was more than adequate for two people and perfect for handicap use.

Perfect place to stay in Edinburgh

This was a lovely hotel experience! The front desk was helpful and welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was particularly excellent -- great water pressure in the shower and a bathtub as well. Excellent location, just below Edinburgh Castle. Great restaurants within walking distance.

Room was dirty sheets had stains and comforter dead bug , shower has dirt marks on wall and floor was never mopped ina week stay even with visible dirt on bathroom floor . Hotel smelled like mildew and AC horrible might as well not even put it on . Wall are so thin you heard everything from inside and out . Only good thing was location and staff was nice .

Perfect location to all the attractions. We walked everywhere and used the tram system one day because of rain. We opted for a larger room which was very comfortable and afforded us the space to be living out of our luggage. Would highly recommend.

Right in the center of the Grassmarket so very convenient to all the sites. Really enjoyed the location and view of Edinburgh Castle. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I liked the atmosphere of the area and having so many pubs close by. This will definitely be my next choice when visiting Edinburgh again.

Location is perfect! Easily walkable. Room is comfortable with amenities (hairdryer, shampoo, soaps, washcloths, etc). Close to Edinburgh castle, which was convenient for the tattoo. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Old Town is very walkable from this hotel. There are so many restaurants, pubs and cafes in the area. The weight of that great location got me to to either 4 or 5 stars. I settled on 4 due to the AC. Ours really did not work. Every day we asked about it and were told maintenance would look at it. Then we’d be told it was checked and all was well. Then we’d get to the room and it clearly was not working. Looking at reviews online, seems this might be an ongoing problem. Parking also not great. Only have a few spots. You’re lucky to get one. If not, overflow parking available down the street at their sister hotel, which has more spots available but still not a lot.
