Visited as we had a family funeral with the wake being held at the Bannatyne hotel. As a family we couldn’t recommend it more, we were given a room upgrade which was lovely. Breakfast was excellent with great choice for everyone. Would definitely stay again.

This was a great stay and hope to book in the future! The rooms are larger than expected and the hotel staff were so kind. The only issues was that the elevator (lift) was not working the whole stay which made it hard to carry luggage.

The highlights were the size of the room and the breakfast (the bacon was particularly delicious). The big draw back was that access the swimming pool was a £20 extra charge per adult and £10 for a child which wasn’t particularly clear at the point of booking.

Beautiful place but breakfast was a let down. They specifically asked for a time to be down for breakfast. We chose 9am asked for poached eggs whilst I got my toast etc waited a long time and they weren't fresh, they'd been previously cooked and reheated. Why I waited so long I have no idea. It's not a cheap hotel and poached eggs don't take long to do fresh to order
