Both the house itself and Danny, the owner, were amazing. The house is set back enough that you’re not crowded by neighbors but close enough to town to grab a bite to eat or go shopping. It’s also close to local skiing and hiking opportunities.

Had a great solo stay here while in town for business. Cozy cabin in a very private and quiet setting but close to lots of attractions and restaurants. This was the perfect cozy cabin for a weekend getaway in nature. We love the proximity to hiking trails, soaking in the hot tub after a day out, and waking up to coffee with a beautiful view. While we didn’t make use of the fire pit or hammocks in the warmer months we would have enjoyed that as well! Danny was very responsive and communicative. Casa de Carmen is the absolute perfect cabin for a getaway. The host Danny was very communicative and offered us recommendations for the area. The cabin itself was well decorated, and clean. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed using the hot tub and driving over to Jim Thorpe to explore. The living room also has the most amazing views, perfect to match with your morning coffee. He even has records playing when you check in. A top notch experience. I would highly recommend a stay at Casa de Carmen and I cannot wait to return again soon.
