Cedar Cabin Cozy 2-Bedroom next to Glacier Park

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space 15 mins from Glacier National Park on the edge of Lewis & Clark Natl. Forest. The Cedar Cabin, former studio and residence of a local painter, features a cozy living & dining room space with two bedrooms and one bathroom. Perfect as a staging spot for your hikes into the Park or just as a wilderness getaway, the Aspen Art House is next door which also hosts guests. Wildlife like deer, moose abound, with a large mountain-view pond as well.

Unfortunately as this property was recently converted for use as short-term rentals, alterations have not yet been made to accommodate those with special accessibility needs. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.

The cabin is in a rural area in the woods, and as such there are numerous wild animals that live in the area. This presents amazing photographic opportunities but requires guests to be aware of the space and their surroundings. Please don't leave food or garbage outside to deter weasels, coyotes, foxes, or bears (mostly black bears, we haven't seen grizzlies in the local area for a number of years). Don't approach moose as they are more dangerous than their adorable appearance makes them appear. Finally, we do our very best with mouse mitigation inside the house, but occasionally one will evade our efforts, so if that happens please let us know and we will place additional traps. We use mouse poison in the winter when there are no guests with small children or pets who could be harmed by its use.
Make yourself comfortable in this cabin, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private patio. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.
Take in the views from a garden.
Guests will find features like internet access and onsite parking.

East Glacier Easy

This is the first time we've stayed on the east side of Glacier. This location was great just outside of East Glacier so we had some privacy, beautiful views, quiet. This cabin is rustic, comfy, cozy. Owners attentive.

Hiking trip

Great location for access to East Glacier park and associated trails. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Amenities were as described. There is no cell service so make sure you download the access information prior to driving to the house. East Glacier is very close and has a couple cute places to eat.

It served a purpose

The location of the home was perfect for us. Very conveniently located near Two Medicine area of the park. Checkin was easy peasy. The description of the home reflects things we expected (such as mouse poop, which I understand due to where it is located). It reflected the number of beds and rooms and amenities. (all good) It did not reflect some of the conditions of the place such as missing screens (the only window in the 2nd bedroom was missing a screen, therefore, we couldn't open some windows at night to allow cool night air in unless we wanted bugs to come in), inability to open any windows in the livingroom as they are all sealed shut, missing or broken blinds (specifically in the main bedroom on the window facing the house next door). Therefore, changing in the bedroom at night without blinds would allow anyone in the house next door to be able to see in the window - lack of privacy. The blind on the other window was broken. That wasn't too big of a deal since that window faces the woods. But blinds are not difficult or expensive to replace. Lastly, I understand mouse poop and it doesn't bother me. Except there is no way they are cleaning up the mouse poop as they say since there was copious amounts of it (new and old) under the steps leading out into the screened porch out back and poop ON the chair cushions. By the way the "screened in" porch is actually a "plexyglassed" porch. There is no screen. I am not sure we would stay again.
