Room very clean but very dated regarding furnishings. Dissappointed that with a bookin for 2 guests there was only 1 bath towel in the bathroom ( we later found towels inside the wardrobe???) The Durham Royal County is very centrally located. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed with lovely bathrooms. The staff were efficient and friendly. Good buffet breakfast although the coffee from a machine was not great. The reception area, bar and dining room, despite being in a historic building are corporate and bland. I would recommend for the location and the rooms.
