The town of Dunoon is within easy reach and has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. There is a wide variety of outdoor activities on offer with sailing, sea fishing, windsurfing, fast speed RIB boat tours, quad bikes, clay shooting and more. The magnificent Benmore Botanic Gardens are well worth a visit and there are plenty of woodland paths available for walking and cycling. Excursions on the famous paddle steamer ’Waverley’ are available direct from Dunoon pier up to 5 days each week during the season, and are highly recommended. The whole area is steeped in history and boasts an abundance of wildlife with deer, otters, golden eagles, red squirrels and dolphins often seen. Based in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park there are plenty of great days out for all ages! Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Beauty and tranquility

Ardentinny reposes between scenic loch and stunning rugged forest-covered hills. Peace abounds. Friendly pub overlooking the loch. Cottage was very comfortable and relaxing and everything was there that was needed.
Stayed 7 nights in May 2023
