Secluded rustic 2-bedroom cabin at nature retreat
Summary:
Escape to our Manzanita cabin, the perfect mountain getaway in our remodeled campground. Relax in a serene environment, surrounded by 120 acres and the Sierra National Forest, where you can spot wildlife and grazing cattle. At Sequoia Highland Camp, we're committed to regenerating the area's natural beauty for all our visitors to enjoy. Take in a breathtaking sunset or stargaze in this remote area - a true escape from modern life. Book your stay and experience the peace and beauty of Manzanita.
The Space:
Welcome to our cozy cabin with two bedrooms, each featuring a comfortable queen bed. We have a make-your-own-bed policy and leave fresh linens in the box in the rooms for your convenience. The remodeled bathroom includes a shower, sink, and toilet. In the kitchen, you'll find new appliances, including a refrigerator, freezer, oven, and induction stove. We've done our best to reuse as many materials as possible during the renovation to be as circular as we can.
The living room is perfect for relaxing, featuring a coffee table, a sofa, chair, and a wood stove to keep you warm and toasty. Our cabins are designed to be minimalistic and include basic utensils, but rest assured that you'll have everything you need for a great stay. You also have a private deck in front of the cabin with picnic table. Come and experience the cozy comfort of our cabin in a beautiful natural setting.
Come stay at our nature retreat and immerse yourself in the natural environment that we are rejuvenating. In 2020, we—two brothers—purchased this land with a vision to restore its beauty after years of drought and neglect. Sequoia Highland Camp spans 120 acres of secluded wilderness at 4,800 feet, offering breathtaking views. It’s ideally located for visits to Sequoia, Kings Canyon, and Yosemite National Parks, and is just 200 miles from San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Sequoia Highland Camp features a variety of accommodations (cabins and yurts), a tranquil pond, meadows and forest, a sunset spot and stargazing nets to explore—all within the pristine Sierra wilderness. It is also possible to book additional facilities, such as: The Bungalow (a recreation and bar area), The Cloud Room (a yoga and workshop space), The Cloud (a yoga and workshop space within a dome), The Kitchen (a dining room for groups).
Why visit us? Whether you’re looking to reconnect with nature, celebrate a birthday with friends, host a yoga retreat, plan a company offsite, or mark a special occasion, Sequoia Highland Camp offers the ideal setting for all. Best of all, when you stay with us, you actively contribute to our mission of planting trees and enhancing biodiversity, helping us restore and protect this incredible land.
Guest Access:
Welcome to your exclusive cabin - everything you need for a perfect stay is present in this cabin. You are more than welcome to take advantage of our beautiful property and enjoy a spectacular sunset from our designated viewpoint or embark on a night hike for some stargazing. For the early birds, head over to our pond at dawn and observe the local wildlife.
To enter the property, please use our third gate and drive back to the cabin. We encourage our guests to appreciate and respect the natural environment around them, without disturbing it. Book your stay now and discover the unique charm of our cabin and beautiful surroundings.
Other Things to Note:
Escape to nature in our stand-alone cabins where you can enjoy a peaceful and quiet environment. Be aware that wildlife, such as rodents and birds, might pay you a visit. Also, there is no digital entertainment available. If you're seeking a break from modern distractions and want to be a guest of nature, this is the place for you.
Please note that the last road to the property is a gravel road. While cars with low clearance can make it to the property, the last stretch of the journey can be a bit bumpy. Take the opportunity to disconnect and unwind in our tranquil setting in our secluded cabins.
Connectivity: there is limited phone reception on the property. Some cabins do have wifi, but this one does not. We have two designated spots (near cabin 5 and cabin 3) where you use our starlink wifi.
