The only other problem I encountered was that there was no handrail at all the steps leading to our suite. I did think the restaurant appointments could have been .better organised but the bus parties seemed to have priority!

The room was comfortable. Nice ambience in the bar with the lighting and piano. Two members of bar staff were extremely polite and attentive. All the rest were to be honest, rude and bad mannered. Gorgeous location and nice pool but consistent quality of customer service needs some serious attention. Some staff in the bar are very unwelcoming which is a shame in such a special place.

An absolute dream

This property is idyllic, everything you could want in a holiday spot and more. The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind, and the room was spacious and very comfortable. The views and paths along the river were perfect for quiet relaxation, and the charming town is easily walkable. A dream to stay in!

Great staff; great location; shame about the main dining room which did not match up to the country house vibe of the hotel. It was canteen like, noisy with poor acoustics, and little attention to design. The conservatory beside it was lovely, however, and breakfast was good.
