The rooms are fine but its a 50/50 shot that your non smoking room still smells like smoke. When you walk down the hallway you will be so nervous because they look diry and trashy, but once you open the room door they actually look nice for the price. The beds feel like they came out of a camper. (If you know you know) they are firm and feel like carboard. But for under $100 it will do for our one night. Staff is very friendly!

In an earlier review, I stated that an entry sign for the recessed property was needed. Well, there is one, I just didn’t notice it! Like the location—close to Interstate, gas station, good restaurants, a few bars, liquor store, post office. Recently refurbished.

This is a dog hotel. If you have to have your dogs with you, I guess this is where you go. It isn't nice. It certainly isn't cheap at $200/night. It's just adequate. The floors are vinyl plank which feels weird and institutional. You can hear dogs in other rooms kind of pacing around since there isn't much softness to absorb the sounds. The bed I have to complain about. Very small, not a queen. It's a double. My husband is a large male. He barely fits in a double bed by himself. I wish hotels were honest about this it is not a "queen suite". It's just an almost empty room with a small bed in it. This is in a great location next to Duluth Grill!! Make sure to go there for breakfast! That will not disappoint!

Our bathroom floor was not clean. We cleaned it ourselves. There was trash from previous guests behind a chair. The front desk person gave us the wrong internet password and was dismissive of us when it didn’t work.

Everything you need within walking distance

Well-maintained room, newly refurbished. There is an excellent restaurant for breakfast and lunch to the south of the parking lot, a gas station across the alley, a liquor store across the street and several bars serving food within sober walking distance. There isn’t a sign for the Motel 6 on 27th—I entered the property through the gas station lot. Neighborhood is non-threatening.

Decent

A pretty bare bones accommodation, but fair for the price and location. Everything in Lincoln Park is walkable and it's quite nice in that regard. The night clerk charged us for our room even though we had pre-paid. When I realized this the next morning they were able to easily reverse the extra charge.

Mold in the shower in a crevice between the shower wall and tub basin. VERY loud with the upstairs neighbor pacing and stopping all night, so much so that I had to go to the front desk at 2:30 a.m. and ring a cowbell to get the night clerk's attention. I told him what was going on and he said he would go tell them to be quiet. I think he did, because the guy sat down for about ten minutes and then began stomping around again. The room smelled terribly as well, like a musty smell. When we got there, the bathroom light and fan were on. We left them on the entire stay. The TV Dish cable barely worked at all. It lagged horribly. I put a soda in the fridge and it froze solid. And last, but not least, you could feel the spring coils in the bed!!!! The man at the desk was helpful, but the overall experience was unfortunately quiet terrible.
