If you feel like exploring the attractions Duisburg has to offer, you can take a walk along the nearby Rhine embankment with a view of the “Echo of Poseidon,” strolling past the famous Bananenhaus along the way, take a guided tour of our neighborhood in the footsteps of Schimanski, go on a guided rickshaw tour through Duisburg or to the 6 Seen-Platte (the tour starts right outside the front door!), or set out on a bike ride (bikes are available) to Landschaftspark Nord with its impressive industrial backdrop, to the zoo, to the world’s largest inland port with a harbor tour (dock nearby) and the Inland Waterway Museum, to the Carnival Museum, to the König Brewery in our neighborhood, or explore the Lower Rhine with its unique floodplain and meadow landscape. For culture lovers, Duisburg invites you to the Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum with its famous sculpture collection, the futuristic-looking Küppersmühle Museum in an old warehouse building in the Inner Harbor, and the historic and well-worth-seeing City Theater. For variety and evening entertainment, check out the Inner Harbor’s entertainment district with its restaurants and pubs, or the romantic, quaint Dellviertel with its dining options.
