We stood at the Rixos a year ago which made us choose it again after our visit to Montenegro. We even decided to show up a day early. Unfortunately it has changed a lot and not for the good. Even though it has always needed an updating things weren’t as bad last year. This time around things seemed like they take a lot of shor cuts on the cleaning and budget. This is suppose to be a 5 star hotel and it’s becoming a 3 star. The sheets and comforters had holes and tares. The carpets were really dirty. The hallways reeked of mold and sewer. Service definitely took a downfall. During lunch servers didn’t acknowledge us until we got their attention. Even when taking our order they wouldn’t write it down making our lunch order wrong. Breakfast isn’t the same anymore a lot of items missing from last years as well as service. Again we would hunt them down for napkins and our coffee order. The pool area needs a huge update as well as the bathrooms. It’s sad to see a hotel that used to be great take a huge downfall for the worst. I honestly don’t recommend this hotel anymore especially for the price point.
