It started with an undermanned reception then a rather frosty response from the guy booking us in when I questioned why they needed me to fill in a form with email address when they already had all my details and a means of contacting me via hotels.com. He insisted that they have no means to do this - strange how they sent me a message 2 days later via hotels.com asking for a review. It then got worse in the room, the shower would not get hot, the toilet flush did not function fully and the floodlights at the front of the hotel (just so it could be seen from the M50 I guess) lit my room all night long (there are large curtains but they leave a gap at the edges which the light blasted through). I had a very poor nights sleep. I'm sure all these aspects can be resolved and it would otherwise be a good place to stay but this time was a disappointment

Room was outdated and had obvious damages to fixtures, tables and carpet. Bathrooms were not fit for purpose, had to move rooms out of one which was covered in mould and rusty fixtures, new one was better but physically couldn’t fit under the shower head.
