During a recent stay in Dublin, my husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on O’Connell Street. We couldn’t have asked for friendlier, more helpful and accommodating staff. Our room was spotless on arrival. The hardworking housekeeping staff maintained the high level of cleanliness throughout our stay.

The staff were very helpful especially the man at the door who was always smiling and went beyond his role to help our group. Also a very nice receptionist on 19/10 who spent a lot of time at 11pm on helping us reorganise our rooms closer together as Expedia hadn't allowed the hotel to see that we were all travelling together. The rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was ok. The hotel is conveniently located to the hop on bus to tour Dublin.

Holiday Inn Express is at the center of Dublin, good transportation from Airport. Walkable to location tour at Parnell Street. All close to dining restaurant. Staff prepared us breakfast to go as we have an early excursion tour.

Once they have your money they don’t care

Due to a sudden illness my partner was unwilling enough to travel so I reached out to the hotel via hotels.com and through their official email to see if there was anything they could do regards refund or using the nights stay at a different date and still haven’t received a reply. Very disappointing as up to that the communication was very good with the hotel.

The hotel is located right in the center of the city so using public transportation is very easy and everything is at walking distance. Also all the tours leave just around the corner. Great service(Andrea was always more than helpful). Very good breakfast.

POSITIVES I found the staff very friendly and efficient. Met at front door on all times I arrived and left by one of two Indian men - brothers they told me! Very, genuinely friendly and efficient and helpful. Helped me with my suitcase -AND I saw them offer EXACTLY the same service to many others! ON arrival was given helpful information on places to eat. Check-in and out was efficient, quick and both were friendly and helpful! Good central location on O Connoll Street Dublin NEGATIVES I have stayed here before but this time I had a room at back of hotel. The view was out to the horrible back yards of other buildings! BUT I accept it was a city centre hotel. Overall the room and shower room/toilet was very clean. BUT, I had a room with 2 single beds (what I asked for) but when I looked the bed sheet on bed 1 was either not ironed OR it had been used and NOT CHANGED! Sheet on bed 2 looked fresh and ironed! I used that bed.

Fantastic location right on O'Connell Street, beside the Airport Express bus stop. Staff friendly, breakfast acceptable (apart from the undrinkable coffee), room small (despite being on a corner) but clean. Main quibble was over the lack of storage space - one small closet with six hangers and a shelf and that was it. No drawers at all anywhere else, just small bedside shelves, one of which was almost entirely taken up by the phone.
