The hotel is what it is & you get what you pay for - an older dated property that could do with some upgrades but generally ok for what we needed. The corridors by the rooms smell badly of mould and my bathroom in room 238 had a stink drain smell in it. The drawer labelled hair dryer also didn't have a hair dryer in it. Wifi was low signal quality. Pool area was ok but the steps leading up to it need repairs and maintenance too. I couldn't hear it but there are 2x nightclubs on the ground floor and a haur salon which was awesome. The staff were generally kind and helpful doing their best to assist with our requests etc. Ok for mid range older property.

Another Great Stay at MERCURE GOLD, Dubai

From the point of arrival all staff were very helpful and accommodating. I enjoyed a lovely upgrade in room type, which is always a lovely surprise and treat. I ate at the hotel and found the food to be of good quality and well priced. A particular mention to Preeti on reception, who’s smile lights up reception.

Expedia members are very bad people and very bad customer service, they don’t have any way to contact them ( no phone number, no email). They put a wrong phone number on UAE. I recommend that no one try to make a reservation through the Expedia .

Didn’t like the way their staff treated us. They gave us a smoking room where I have 2 young children and they had to sleep in a room that stunk of smoke, and their staff thought we were stealing their towels. It’s ridiculous. They need some customer service training.
