Hotel is quite run down outside of the lobby. Rooms were big but alot of the switches didn't work in the rooms. We didn't have enough hot water each day for two people to shower. So someone had to have a cold shower each day. When complaining to the hotel we were told to have shorter showers or wait longer for more hot water to heat up. Even though we left the hot water switch on for overnight for 7hours. Very poor reaction from the hotel reception team. Beach is lovely and the staff on the beach are really friendly and helpful that was the main positive from the stay.

We stayed for a total of 6 days and during 3 of those 6 days they didn’t clean the room even though we requested it. We were gone all those days for at least 6-8 hours. Then they came to our room late at night and claimed they had stopped by an hour prior but I was asleep (which was a lie - I have young children and they were wide awake bouncing off the walls). Just know that if you go there, you should expect to do your own cleaning and that your room will smell musty when it’s not cleaned.

Very nice and modern 5 star hotel. When my reservation was made I was given the option to add breakfast for $5US, it's definitely worth it. No self parking, only valet but it's free (not anymore if you tip the drivers which is a must anyway). Private beach and location at the Palm Jumeira in front of the mall and monorail is a plus.

The only things redeeming about Dukes were the pool, multiple places to hang out (when checked out and the location) The rooms and decor was so old fashioned, the bathroom had a smell with a broken toilet and a fridge opposite the toilet. No sauna or steam room. The grounds had peeling paint all through. The lobby was poorly designed, always crowded because the front desk were super slow. Thanks to patient concierges.

Loved the hotel location. Easy access to private beach. Hotel has a great indoor pool. Staff was friendly and quite helpful in general. Palm Jumeriah Mall is literally right in front of the Hotel. Hotel is a little outdated, and there was a change of ownership during our stay.
