The staff at the Dukes Hotel are all very friendly and willing to help. Our room was clean and tidy, but the bathroom was showing its age. The toilet didn't always flush properly, and the shower door seal leaked, which meant every shower produced a small flood on the bathroom floor. We did inform Reception, and they sent engineers to our room to try to fix the issues. Whilst the shower seal was improved, it still din't prevent leaks on the floor, and the toilet flushing issues remained throughout our stay. The room had an electronic 'Do Not Disturb' and 'Clean My Room' indicator, but the staff didn't seem to take any notice of them. Once they knocked to clean our room when the Do Not Disturb indicator was on, and twice they failed to clean the room, despite the Clean My Room indicator showing, so we had to ask at Reception for our room to be clean. To be fair, they did act on this very quickly, but it would've been nice to have had the room cleaned without asking, particularly as we'd gone to the trouble of setting the indicator.

Lovely room at Dukes, staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area is a little tired. Pool itsf is lovely but needs some upgrades ro tiles etc. Also gets very busy on weekend. Struggled to find 2 sun beds together. Beer very expensive too, 69 dir 500 mls of Peroni. 15 less in the Hilton down the road. Overall very good stay a d would happily return.

The breakfast buffet provide variety choice of food. The hotel is super nice, well equipped. The private beach along with the swimming pool and lazy river is the highlight part for my family during the stay.

The room was filthy… dust everywhere. Doors- disgustingly dirty. Carpet filthy and stank of mould meant to be clean for praying can’t imagine last time it was washed or cleaned. Balcony dirty. Furniture in the room was so outdated and falling apart. Dust everywhere in the room including corners and around the bed. Behind the cabinets. Broken wardrobe doors Dirty curtains Phone constantly flashing message throughout day and night but no message Cockroach in room Control Buttons not working properly Bath was leaking- fixed 2nd time of asking then smell of sealant for days. Toilet leaking not been fixed we mentioned this on day 2 Terrible shower pressure One time we were given hand towels throughout a 5 night stay. Smell in bathroom- mould Hallway outside room smelt of urine Breakfast- Terrible quality of produce. Watered down yoghurts and juice Bakery is not fresh made- budget supermarket quality. Breakfast staff are slow and uninterested. Beach parasols- full of holes. SunBeds ripped and poor quality. Aircons around hotel leaking. Reception is a circus and far too busy and no ones ever at guest relations 5 Star Hotel?? Please!!! 3 star at best. Was told a manager would come and speak to us about a cockroach being in the room but no one came and no one cared. The Ula beach restaurant was nice only positive thing I can say. Good location but traffic is a nightmare in the evenings getting off the palm. Don’t stay Don’t waste your money on this hotel!!

There is nothing special that deserves paying this amount of money for a standard room. The booking said a private beach when the beach is shared with other buildings and other hotels.
