A must for every visitor to Neßmersiel is, of course, a mudflat hike. Neßmersiel is considered the “Mecca” for mudflat hikers. For example, you can hike across the mudflats to the island of Baltrum, admiring the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site along the way, and then take the ferry back.
