Ft Young is always my go to when visiting the island. That being said if you are in the older part of the hotel, getting your luggage around is a challenge as the elevator does not get you to all areas, HOWEVER there is always friendly staff to lend a hand. I was disappointed not to get a room in the new, deluxe part of the hotel. Not sure how I go about getting one. Overall I am pleased with my stay. I would say that service has improved over the years. Helpful, friendly staff

Clean room, helpful staff, great breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. However, please advise your staff to communicate what's going on at your hotel. For example, if there's a special event or you offer buffet lunch daily, the guest should not have to ask. That information should be given on arrival or booking. Lastly, guests need a microwave either in their rooms or the lobby area especially when the kitchen closes early (9pm). If I am hungry and have left offers in the refrigerator, I should be able to heat up my leftovers at midnight if I choose to and enjoy. Thank you for a great stay and I will be back again.

This property is conveniently located, accessible to the shops and local restaurants. The hotel having gone through refurbishment following the hurricane Marie, it’s starting to show it wear and tear. I was given old tacky towels, and my bedding/room wasn’t changed on my first day of my stay. The staff are hit and miss - house keeping not great but Mariah was fabulous, polite and charming.
