The vacation home is located 17 km from Le Mans, known worldwide for its motorsport events, its race track and its automobile museum. Stroll through the walled old town and discover its small typical streets, the cathedral and museums. For sporty vacationers there is a wide range of possibilities to get active: Golf (20 km), tennis (4 km), water activities (15 km) or hiking in the surrounding area. Guests who are fond of nature and animals will enjoy the Zoo de la Flèche, the aviary in Spay and the horse farms in the area. The Papéa Parc amusement park not far from Le Mans is also a destination for the whole family. Plan a day to experience the châteaux along the Loire River or Mont Saint-Michel, each about 1 hour south and a little less than 2 hours north of this vacation property. The museums and château in Angers, a 1-hour drive away, hide several treasures. Also discover the culinary specialties from the region, such as the rillettes from Le Mans (spread made from meat cooked and preserved in its own juice and fat) or the potée from Sarthe (stew made from steamed potatoes, cabbage and bacon).
