We only stayed one night during a longer car trip but we were really impressed so we would definitely recommend it and come back if we plan a visit in the area. Very friendly staff, very family-friendly atmosphere overall and the rooms are just absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast was very good too. Just flawless for us :)

The room was very comfortable, light and spacious. The decor in the hotel is very interesting, with different sections reflecting different countries. The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. The only disappointment was that there was no restaurant on site for dinner.

The “two bedroom” suite is really one big long room. There is no separation between them at all (no doors). It was awkward to book a “two bedroom” room to share with non-family friends. The staff was friendly and the breakfast had a wide variety.

Beautiful inn and comfy room. Language barrier made it difficult to communicate but we managed. The inn provides so many amenities for entertaining young visitors and was set up beautifully. It was very cozy.
Comfy bedding in 2 bedroom
Well-lit and thoughtfully decorated hallways.
Stair landings were each decorated.
A cozy breakfast room with adequate yummy selections.

Wow! Absolutely beautiful stay characterized by friendly staff, clean rooms, yummy breakfast, and an atmosphere of vintage charm. We also loved the amenities (aka, the air hockey table downstairs)! If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we will be staying here. Thoroughly enjoyed!

Great Hotel for Young Families

What a fun and unique hotel! The kids (ages 2 and 5) absolutely loved it! Our room had bunk beds and a race car bed! Our 5 year old said he wants to live there forever. Great place for families!

Family stop over

Very quirky hotel, the kids loved it, only a slight issue was that we had to enter our room from an exterior door as opposed to the normal door off the corridor. Breakfast was amazing, we loved the themed tables! Would return.

It is a charming site

What a charming site. It is business since 1704, renovated of course but keeping a charming atmosphere. People there is friendly and helping. I arrived to hotel after hours and they made sure I was able to find my room key. Close to trial paths into the Black Forest if you like to run. A peaceful site. I can’t wait to return.

An amazing experience

The hotel was amazing. As an American traveler, I'm always worried about the language barrier. The hotel staff was very patient. The room was great. The shower system was amazing. Water came out from multiple directions. The breakfast was great.

A medium sized hotel with lots of character, especially in the bar/cinema, & dining room; with a rich and eclectic collection of ornamentation. Alas, the clever technical novelties like a radio in the shower or powered pedal-bin did not compensate for soft and creaky beds, thin curtains, no blind over the velux roof light, and bedside light fittings right where you can easy bang your head. Outstanding breakfast
