Guest house near Delphi

Well positioned near the top of a hill town (getting to it by car was a challenge due to steep narrow streets) with a good view over the valley. But it was evident that the guest house had forgotten we were coming! Bathroom was cleaned in front of us. No welcome pack as such though there was ground coffee in the kitchenette. However, accommodation - bedroom and sting room with kitchenette, en suite - was comfortable and well- furnished.

Super cosy!

Very cosy guest room (more like a small apartment). We arrived late and had to keep traveling the day after, but wished we could have stayed longer because of the great location and beautiful town. Amazing view from bedroom.

Άψογη διαμονή, αναληθής η ύπαρξη πάρκινγκ!

Όλα ήταν εξαιρετικά. Το μόνο που δε μου άρεσε και με ταλαιπώρησε είναι ότι ενώ στο site αναφέρεται ότι ο ξενώνας διαθέτει πάρκινγκ αυτό δεν είναι αλήθεια! Έτσι ενώ προσπάθησα να φτάσω στον ξενώνα με το αυτοκίνητο, αναγκάστηκα να γυρίσω πίσω μέσα από τραγικά στενά σοκάκια που είναι ακατάλληλα και επικίνδυνα για αυτοκίνητο! Το πάρκινγκ μέσα στην Αραχωβα είναι προβληματικό ούτως ή άλλως αλλά αν ήξερα ότι δεν υπάρχει πάρκινγκ δε θα ταλαιπωρουμουν και δε θα είχα πρόβλημα!

Really nice guesthouse

Definitely a nice place to stay in arachova for a few days in a great location making the centre very accessible. The kitchen was lacking some of the basic utensils and a drying towel. However, the interior was nicely decorated and we'd love to visit again

Beautiful town to stay in after visiting Delphi. Food was phenomenal and the sites and views were gorgeous. The hotel is apartment style, with kitchen and all, very clean and beautiful and comfortable. The only tricky part was parking and driving, the roads are extremely narrow and steep, be prepared if you are driving. We parked behind the high school eventually free of charge.

Great place to stay when visiting Delphi. Located in beautiful small village 8km from Delphi. Walking distance to shopping, many restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops. The room was very comfortable with a wonderful view of the mountains. Roads are a bit narrow, but easily navigable if driving a small cat.

Nice vista across the valley

Ariadne's Guesthouse is quiet place well above the main road (48) through Arachova. It may have been quiet in June due to Greeks preferring the sea in the summer; apparently much busier in the winter. The village is located on the mountain side, with nice vistas across the valley and to the sea (far away). A bit hard to find, as it did not show up on the GPS - you ave to drive through the village (coming from west) and take one of the roads going up, and then navigate the network of narrow, typically one-way streets.

Καλό μεν αλλά.

Τα δωμάτια ήταν σε άριστο σημείο στο κέντρο της Αράχωβας με μόνο πρόβλημα το παρκιν.Είχαμε απεριόριστα ξύλα για το τζάκι.Μεγάλο διπλό κρεββάτι και ευήλιο ευάερο studio με δύο χώρους όπου άνετα κοιμόταν στον καναπέ και τρίτος άνθρωπος αν ήθελε.Κουζίνα με ηλεκτρική κουζίνα νεροχύτη και ψυγείο πολύ βολικό αν έχεις παιδιά ή απλά θέλεις να ετοιμάσεις κάτι για τη λιγούρα. Όμως να πούμε και τα άλλα.Δεν ήταν καινούρια τα δωμάτια αλλά είχαν παρεμβάσεις καινούριες όπως ας πούμε καινούριο καζανάκι και καινούριο κρεβάτι.Κάποιες λάμπες ήταν καμμένες σε φωτιστικά .Τα χαλάκια κυρίως γύρω από το κρεββάτι ήταν πολύ βρώμικα.Τα ντουλάπια της κουζίνας βρώμικα και χωρίς τα απαραίτητα για πρωινό όπως γράφει.Δηλαδή δεν υπήρχαν καφές και τσάι ούτε φρυγανιά ή κάτι άλλο.Μόνο ζάχαρη είχε,μία καφετιέρα για γαλλικό χωρίς καφέ.Σε άλλα καταλύματα που έχουμε πάει έχουμε βρει μαρμελάδες ψωμί μέχρι και κέικ.Η reception δηλαδή μια κοπέλα μόνο σε υποδέχεται μετά εξαφανίζεται.άλλωστε δεν είναι κλασική reception.Στην πληρωμή που μπήκαμε στο χώρο είναι απλά ένα γραφείο που σου κόβει την απόδειξη.Δεν υπήρχαν ούτε χάρτες της περιοχής ούτε ενημερωτικά για την περιοχή τα αξιοθέατα ή επαγγελματιών γύρω π.χ. εστιατορίων .Νιώσαμε ότι απλά μας δέχτηκαν για τα λεφτά και τίποτα άλλο.Ευγενική πάντως η κοπέλα που μας υποδέχτηκε και πρόθυμη να κόψει απόδειξη.

Замечательная атмосфера умиротворения и спокойствия! Прекрасный отдых для двоих. Отдельное спасибо хозяйке гостиницы - Стелле за ее доброжелательность и внимание к гостям. Вечерняя прогулка по городку завораживает своей средневековой романтикой: вымощенные дорожки, игрушечные домики, летающие светлячки... Одним словом, прелестно! Ну, а Дельфы... до них рукой подать. Будет возможность, приедем сюда еще. Здорово!

First time in Arachova...

I got in later than planned due to travel glitches and felt bad for getting in late, but was met with warm greeting and taken quickly to my room. I was there only briefly so did not even see the same couple when I left... The bed was comfortable and enjoyed the room and location, which was walking distance to town Center and the bus to Delphi.
