While the rooms were clean, the structure shows signs of water leakage in the walls. It needs some major renovation. The ad on Expedia says registration is open till 11pm. I sent a mail thru Expedia twice indicating I was a late arrival, after 9:30pm. When we arrived door was locked! Bar was open and bartender found our keys and immediately shut down the bar. If we had arrived 10 minutes later we would not have had a place to sleep as it’s the only motel within 30 miles.

They gave me a room that was not or had not been cleaned. Trash everywhere, sheets and pillows were on the floor and thrown on bed, lots of facial hair on counter of bathroom.

Property has great potential, but it definitely needs new furnishings! Staff was pleasant, though. Breakfast area was attractive, but the rest needs help.

It took three people to help check us in….. which seems overboard. We came back one night around Midnight and the front door was locked…? No answer on the phone. Luckily back door was open, would’ve been nice to tell your guests as I had to call the Sunlac in Devils Lake. Rooms are decent enough.. nothing fancy. Bartender was rude at the restaurant/bar that was attached.

Better than my car…

The bathroom had no ventilation. The beds were advertised as queens but were more like full. It was hard but I’ve slept on harder. It was only for one night so it was better than sleeping in the car.

We made our reservation thru expedia and when we checked in and went to our room, someone was in it! We went back to the front desk and told the guy working. He went and checked to rooms and they were not clean. He went to check on a 3rd room and then said it was ok. We opened the door and it was obvious that it was not cleaned. He just pulled the bed spreads back up. The sheets were not changed, we garbages were not emptied and the bathroom was not clean. We left and did not go back. Money lost. We were not staying there! Shame on them.
