Check-in was great. We actually had a pretty complicated scenario because I had booked two nights separately and paid for one in full, so I needed us to be able to remain in the same room etc… the check-in person was very “on the ball” and took care of this.
The room was fine- spacious and a good layout. Only 2 towels though, and they knew we had 3 guests. It wasn’t a problem getting another one.
Well-located hotel; easy parking, quick to get places (by car- there’s not too many places you can walk to).
The pool area and breakfast is where there are issues here. I’m not sure why the hotel doesn’t have housekeeping on a schedule where they clean the pool area right after it closes at night. Both mornings we were there, the pool area was filthy- dirty towels everywhere, garbage not emptied, no clean towels. The pool opens at 7 so my daughter and I wanted to go swimming shortly after 7, and asking for a towel at the desk the response was “they’re just being cleaned” … meanwhile the dirty ones from last night are all over the deck, and the pool being opened in the morning should mean the housekeeping cycle had them cleaned.
Breakfast is a mystery here. It’s supposed to be $5 pp, all you can eat, but the opening times really seem to vary. People were coming down expecting it to be ready, and it wasn’t, or there was some light items out (yogurt etc) but no hot food, it seems that everyone was told a different opening time. Charge more nightly and just include breakfast!
