When I booked with My Place hotel I was assured that check-in would be available at 3:00 pm. However, upon my arrival at 8:00 pm, I was informed that there were no rooms available. I was left waiting for over an hour in a crowded lobby, with many other frustrated guests experiencing the same issue. During this time, the food I had brought to eat went cold, and my daughter—already exhausted from a tournament—was forced to wait as well.
When I finally received a room closer to 9:00 pm, the problems unfortunately continued. Another guest was somehow able to gain entry into our room with a key card, which was both alarming and unacceptable from a security standpoint. On top of this, our room had no towels available, leaving us unable to shower and simply rest as we had intended after a long day.
Overall, the service and conditions we experienced were far below the standard I expected especially since I spent over $180 per night. Also, upon check-out, the staff had a different person named under my room number and booking.
This stay caused unnecessary stress, discomfort, and frustration, instead of the rest and hospitality we had planned for.
