Hotel Macedonia Square

"Loved this hotel and would stay here again. Great location tucked away just off Macedonia Square, steps from the river, waterfront restaurants, and the Stone Bridge to the old town. Also helpfully next to a mall with a Vero supermarket on the lower level. The staff were so kind and helpful. The decor is dark as you’ll see in the pics, but I found it atmospheric, ymmv. The breakfast buffet is small compared to bigger hotels but it had everything we wanted (eggs, grilled veggies, sweets, bread and jam, fruit, juices, cereal etc.) Could get lattes or espresso if you asked. The little eating/sitting area in the front window of the hotel is great people watching. There is a small fee to use the pool, we didn’t check it out.
Note that it’s on a pedestrian-only street, which is nice once you’re there but a taxi will have to drop you at the big Arch (looks like Arc de Triomphe?) around the corner. It’s only a 1 min walk but can be tricky to see it the first time. "
