In the past, most people traveled to Macau by flying into Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) and taking a short ferry ride to the island. However, Macau International Airport (MFM) is becoming a hub for low cost flights, and many people fly there directly. Macau is not a particularly big place, and it is possible to navigate the entire city on foot. Other transportation options include taxis and rickshaws. Those who are transiting to the mainland can cross the border into Zhuhai on foot. Hotels can be found throughout the city; pick one close to the attractions you want to visit.

"This is a REAL five star hotel. The staff is INCREDIBLE! If you want to experience true excellent service, stay here. From the lady who checked me in, to Donilo who took my bags, to the bellmen and Bill who helped me out later, to the excellent staff at North Palace, everyone here is amazing! The rooms are SPACIOUS so you get a lot of room plus they’re immaculately maintained and top of the line luxurious. The hotel is also perfectly located near everything. Thank you to the front desk girl for the Eiffel Tower tickets! 10/10!"
