Dubai International Airport is located about three miles southeast of Dubai. Dubai is located in an arid desert climate with extremely hot and windy summers. Situated on the coast of the Arabian Gulf, Dubai experiences a high level of humidity. Between June and September, temperatures are scorching past 104F. The best time to visit is between November and April, when temperatures are between 75F and 96F. Getting Around Dubai
The newly constructed Red Line metro is one of the best ways of getting around Dubai. There are stops at the airport and along the Arabian Gulf coastline. The Red Line metro can also drop you off at the Bhurj Khalifa and the Emirate Mall. New stops for the metro are currently in development. Buses are available with Dubai Public Transport, with major stops at the Gold Souq Market and Al Ghubaiba Bus Station. Bus Line 8 is recommended for tourists, since it covers many popular attractions. There are plenty of taxis available for hire in the city, but you should have a solid understanding of where your destination is located before getting in. Traversing the Dubai Creek is easily done via the abra ferries or Waterbus.
