The property was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the location, the pool and pickleball courts were nicely maintained. Our only suggestion would be on a few amenities. A cordless vacuum like a Shark or Dyson would be most appreciated for picking up sand. The broom was ok but the dustpan was old and made picking up the sand difficult. Also, some coffee filters for the machine and a couple of extra laundry pods would be good since the washer is small and they request the towels be washed. It takes at least 2-3 loads to wash the towes used. But these are small suggestions. The property and location were great with fantastic beach access. Would stay again.

The condo was homey for sure but it did need a really good dusting. It was nice of them to have chairs and a nice canopy for use. The walk wasn’t too bad to the beach. Please bring everything or be prepared to buy everything as the condo only provides a thing of paper towels and a couple rolls of toilet paper. Neighbors are really nice and beaches are beautiful.

The condo was well supplied. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but there were a few things that were disappointing. There was only one dumpster that was far from our unit, which was inconvenient since you have to take out your trash.There was a very small TV in yhe 2nd bedroom that wouldn't work. You could only turn it on and use the volume buttons. You couldn't change the channel. It woukd have also been nice to have a small vacuum to help with sand.

Nice and short beach walk

We had a fantastic stay at condo 8C! The unit was beautifully organized and tastefully decorated, with lots of thoughtful upgrades that made it feel extra special. We especially loved the beamed ceilings—they added such charm to the space. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the essentials, and we appreciated the added touches like laundry detergent, fabric softener, and even coffee for our first morning.The owners really thought of everything—there was a wagon, beach chairs, a frisbee, and we even left our pool floats for the next guests to enjoy. We made great use of the pool and pickleball courts, and the track lighting on the balcony created such a fun vibe in the evenings. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the property staff were friendly and accommodating.The only thing we’d suggest is updating the mattress and bedding in the master bedroom. The bed squeaked quite a bit, and the blankets have seen better days.Dining tip: We loved Kenny D’s for great food and atmosphere. Overall, we had a blast and would absolutely return to condo 8C!

Great location, short walk to the beach! Loved the community. A few things to be prepared for though. The unit is upstairs and the beach access also has stairs with no ramp. Was difficult to get a beach wagon up and down. The pool on property was super clean and heated. Very nice. The unit itself is nice. I do have a couple complaints. First, the master needs curtains. It gets super bright so you’re up by 7 am because the sun is in your face. Second, the bed is huge which is great but it’s very loud when you move. And lastly, it was mentioned in other reviews that the floors are very dirty and boy were they. Your feet will be black. We had to wash our feet before going to bed each night. Wish I had brought slippers. I will also say the sink in the kitchen broke while we were there and maintenance came and fixed within an hour. Great service! Also there were lots of laundry items which was a nice plus. We would definitely stay again but take black out shades and shoes to wear inside.

Enjoyed three weeks

Wish it had been longer! Our stay was exactly what we wanted. The unit was in a quiet location with everything we needed. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment if you want to dine in. Bathrooms had plenty of towels. Everything was clean and the communication with the mgmt company was very smooth. We appreciated the beach items very much! We loved our stay and look forward to a return visit!

Destin Spoiled Us

We will be coming back again and again, I have stayed at the Chataeu before and was able tl bring my wife and son to thr beach for the first time. It was an amazing experience and thr beach spoiled us, we will never find a beach with as clear of water

Relief from the stress of Hurricane Helene

We are from Augusta GA. We had been without power and water for 7 days from Hurricane Helene. We needed to find a relaxing place to go to until our power was back up. The place was very nice and spacious. It just felt good to be in a place that had power and water so we could relax. Everything in the place was very nice. We loved the location. The only complaint is that the floors were dirty.
