This hotel was a big disappointment and I wouldn’t recommend booking a room here. The hallways were dirty and looked as if they hadn’t been vacuumed. There were stains on the carpet and the pool was closed, which was annoying considering that’s why I picked a hotel with a pool. On the website it states there was a coffee pot in the rooms which wasn’t the case, there also wasn’t a blow dryer for convenience. The beds were uncomfortable and I didn’t like the back door entrance didn’t require a key card to get into the building. Literally anyone could get in the hotel. Trying to save money and staying at a cheaper rate isn’t always the best idea. Next time I visit Des Moines I plan on staying somewhere cleaner/safer.

Better than expected

The room was spacious, clean and neat. The furniture was new but the chairs weren't very comfy. We liked the kitchenette with the large refrigerator. The inside of the hotel was good but the outside was trashy, I saw lots off cigarette butts, beer cans and paper trash around the building. The outside door had key readers but were opened without the keycard. The room was much nicer than most econo hotels and the price was right. If you are just passing through, it's ok.

What I didn't like was the fact the lighting was poorly done in the main area of the room. The only lighting you have is the little lights by the bed. Their just barely enough light from them to see the bed and other furniture.

Expedia should remove this hotel. It was the worst. Bedding was very old towels were like shop rags. Felt unsafe. Needs to be torn down. Wish we could get our money back.

The room itself was clean. The rest of the property was dirty and in disrepair. Pool was out of service, gutter was hanging off the building, hallway carpet was nasty. They were low on pillows and towels. Was far below expectations for the price.
